Decarbonization beyond renewable generation
Achieving net zero will require letting go of “all or nothing” thinking and directing investments toward tangible, incremental improvement across a number of real asset sectors. We believe the global energy transition will be anchored by economically viable investments that decarbonize the highest emitting sectors of the economy. Cresta has identified three decarbonization strategies that we believe will be foundational to reducing carbon emissions across the energy, materials, and industrial sectors which collectively account for ~50% of S&P 500 greenhouse gas emissions:
Energy, Materials and Industrial Infrastructure
Infrastructure integral to everyday activity
Infrastructure assets are foundational to economic activity across the globe, particularly in the energy, industrial and materials sectors. Cresta maintains a focus in those sectors targeting investment in transportation, storage and processing of basic commodities and products.
